Booked your teamLab Planets tickets and wondering what to do nearby?
You do not need to rush straight back onto a train after your visit. With a little planning, you can turn it into a half-day outing with lunch, a free footbath and, if you have time, a waterfront walk.
Personally, I would keep the plan simple. Choose a couple of nearby stops and give yourself time to enjoy them.

A Simple Half-Day Plan
Here is the route I would suggest:
- Morning: teamLab Planets.
- Afterwards: lunch and browsing at Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai.
- Before leaving: a break at the free eighth-floor footbath.
- Optional: extend the outing with a waterfront walk around Toyosu Park.
Allow roughly 4–5 hours for the main plan, including walking and breaks. This is a suggested schedule rather than a fixed tour duration. Adding the wholesale market or waterfront means allowing longer.
Start with teamLab Planets
Build the rest of your outing around your booked admission time. I would allow around 2–3 hours for the museum, plus some flexibility for the entrance queue.
Wear shorts or trousers that roll up comfortably. Some areas involve water, while others have mirrored floors, so skirts and dresses can be inconvenient.

Have Lunch at Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai

A seafood rice bowl is one option for lunch in Toyosu.
After teamLab, head towards Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai, beside Toyosu Market. Its streets recreate an Edo-style atmosphere, with food shops and restaurants to browse.
Depending on your appetite, look for sushi, a seafood rice bowl, grilled seafood, ramen or something sweet. You can choose a sit-down meal or a few smaller bites.
My suggestion would be to look around before ordering. Check menus and prices, then pick what appeals to you rather than feeling you must eat at the first place you see.
The complex is free to enter; food and purchases cost extra.
Address: 6-5-1 Toyosu, Koto-ku, Tokyo.
Allow roughly 10–15 minutes to walk from teamLab Planets, depending on your route and pace. Treat this as a planning estimate and check a walking map on the day.

Take a Break at the Free Eighth-Floor Footbath

Bring a small towel for a footbath break.
The eighth-floor Senkyaku Banrai Footbath Garden is open to the public free of charge. It makes a lovely idea for a short break after walking around.
Bring a small towel so you can dry your feet afterwards, and choose clothes that are easy to roll up.
There are two footbath areas to distinguish: the free one is on the eighth floor. The tenth-floor panoramic footbath is for guests of the paid Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club.
You do not need to pay for the full bathing facility to use the public eighth-floor footbath.
The usual published hours are 9:00 am–10:00 pm, but private bookings and other notices can change access. Check before visiting.

Want to Visit Toyosu Market Too? Go Earlier
Toyosu Market and Senkyaku Banrai are separate places, with different schedules.
The wholesale market’s visitor routes are generally open from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm on market operating days. Restaurants and shops keep their own hours, so do not assume they will all be available until late afternoon.
The market is closed on Sundays, public holidays and additional scheduled dates.
Senkyaku Banrai normally operates even when the market is closed.
If the wholesale market is a priority, I would reverse the plan: visit the market and have an early meal first, then book teamLab for later.
Check the official market calendar before choosing your date. The early-morning tuna auction is a separate activity and is not included in this relaxed half-day plan.

Optional: Finish with a Waterfront Walk
If the weather is pleasant and you still have energy, consider Toyosu Park and the waterfront near Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu.
Make this an optional extension rather than another stop you must complete. After a museum visit and lunch, sitting down with a drink may be just as appealing.
If you are travelling with children, I would leave room for breaks rather than trying to fit everything into one outing.
Getting Around
For teamLab Planets:
Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line is about a one-minute walk away. Toyosu Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line is about a ten-minute walk away.
For Toyosu Market and Senkyaku Banrai:
Use Shijo-mae Station on the Yurikamome Line. Senkyaku Banrai is around four minutes on foot from the station.
Choose your arrival station based on the first stop in your plan.
Before You Go
Book teamLab first, check market opening days if you want to visit, and bring a small towel for the footbath.
Senkyaku Banrai hours vary by shop and floor. Many retail shops and some dining areas close earlier than the restaurants that serve into the evening, so check any particular place you want to try.
You do not need to tick off every stop. teamLab, a good lunch and a short footbath break are already enough for a relaxed outing in Toyosu.
