If Snoopy is one of those characters that always makes you smile, this is a lovely place to add to your Tokyo itinerary.
There is more to explore than cute photo spots. Snoopy Museum Tokyo also introduces the comics, characters and creator behind Peanuts, giving you a closer look at the stories behind that familiar little beagle.
What Can You See Inside?
The Snoopy Room is one of the museum’s standout spaces, with oversized Snoopy figures in different poses. It also features “Awakening,” a show combining projections, lighting and music.
Snoopy Wonder Room brings together toys, clothing, stationery and memorabilia, including items donated by fans.
The Charles Schulz Gallery introduces the creator’s life and work, while the Peanuts Gang Gallery explores familiar characters and stories through comic reproductions, vintage objects and moving displays.
There is also a softer side to the museum: “Fluffy Siblings” introduces Snoopy and his five siblings as soft figures for hugs and photographs, while Mini Fluffy Park offers somewhere to relax and explore more of the Peanuts world.
The Current Special Exhibition

A little Snoopy inspiration for your Japan itinerary.
As of October 2026, the special exhibition is “Siblings are Wonderful,” running from September 5, 2026, to February 28, 2027.
It explores sibling relationships, including Charlie Brown and Sally, Lucy and her brothers, and Snoopy’s siblings.
Around 45 original and reproduced comic artworks show the arguments, affection and support that come with having siblings. The exhibition includes 15 original strips not previously displayed since entering the Schulz Museum’s collection.
If your trip is after February 2027, check which exhibition will be running during your visit.
Where Is Snoopy Museum Tokyo?
The museum is in Minami-Machida Grandberry Park, Machida, Tokyo.
Address: 3-1-4 Tsuruma, Machida, Tokyo, Japan.
From Shibuya Station, take the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line to Minami-machida Grandberrypark Station.
The museum’s access guide gives approximately 35 minutes by express train, followed by a four-minute walk from the station. Allow extra time for finding your platform and walking through the station.
How Much Time Should You Allow?
For planning, I would set aside 1.5–2 hours for the museum and shop. Allow longer if you enjoy reading comics and taking photographs.
With a café stop, roughly 2.5–3 hours in the area, plus travel, makes a comfortable allowance. These are suggested timings rather than an official visit duration.
You book an entry window, but there is no fixed limit on your stay once you are inside, up to closing time.
Opening Hours and Closed Days
Weekdays:
10:00 am–6:00 pm
Last admission: 5:30 pm
Weekends and Japanese public holidays:
10:00 am–7:00 pm
Last admission: 6:30 pm
There is no regular weekly closing day. As checked on October 7, 2026, the announced upcoming closures are:
- January 1, 2027
- February 16, 2027
Check the official calendar before booking, as additional closures may be announced.
When Should You Visit to Avoid Crowds?

Make time for a relaxed Snoopy day during your Tokyo trip.
For a quieter visit, I would choose a weekday morning outside Japanese public holidays and school holidays. This is a planning suggestion; the museum does not publish an hourly crowd forecast.
One useful official tip is to avoid arriving at the exact start of your entry slot, when visitors tend to gather.
For example, with a 10:00–10:30 am ticket, arriving around 10:10–10:20 am may make entry smoother. Make sure you remain within your reserved window.
Tickets and Booking
The museum lists these advance admission prices:
- Adults and university students: ¥2,000
- Junior and senior high school students: ¥900
- Children aged four through elementary school: ¥500
- Children under four: Free
The official English page states that a 10% additional fee applies to advance purchases through KKday and e-plus. Check the final total before paying.
KKday sells dated, timed-entry tickets. Its listing says advance tickets are available until 8:00 pm the previous day and are non-cancellable.

Leave Time for the Shop and Café
BROWN’S STORE is accessed after the exhibition and requires a museum ticket.
The adjacent PEANUTS Cafe is in a separate building and can be visited without museum admission. Food and drinks cost extra.
Photography is allowed in most museum areas, except some video displays. Flash and tripods are not permitted, so follow the signs and staff instructions.
Is It Worth Adding to Your Tokyo Trip?
For a Snoopy fan, I would give this stop a proper place in the itinerary.
Book a morning slot, explore at your own pace, and leave time for a coffee afterward. Not every Tokyo day needs to be a race between attractions.
